The Uttarakhand Bird Festival is a public event, open to everyone. Other than closed events, for which specific invitations will be sent out, the open-to-public events require no prior registration. There are no charges or fees for any of the events. However, boarding, lodging and travel to the various festival sites will need to be organised by individual visitors at their own cost at accommodation options to be listed on the website. For out-of-station visitors, who are staying at various types accommodation listed on the website, you may request your accommodation provider to arrange for transportation on a paid basis.
Guiding birdwatching for public Registration is on the spot on first-come- first-served basis for the various birdwatching trails. Please report at the trails 15 minutes prior to trail start time.
Guiding birdwatching for schools and institutions Prior registration is required for schools and institutions intending to go on the birdwatching or heritage trails.
Separate birdwatching for schools and institutions is planned daily from 0900 to 1100 hrs at Benog.
Schools and institutions wanting to go birdwatching may call Anchal Sondhi at +91 9412992728 or Shweta Golani at +91 98372 46264 for offline registration. A maximum of 25 people per institution can be permitted on the birdwatching trails.
